Teaching & Service

I teach undergraduate and graduate courses in urban systems, logistics, and supply chains. I also advise student research and contribute to the field through journal editing, professional committees, and research review.

TEACHING

Courses at the University of Houston

My teaching combines core curricular responsibilities with graduate instruction in data analytics, logistics, and infrastructure systems.

SCLT 3384

Logistics Technology and Processes

Undergraduate · Required course

SCLT 6316

Global Supply Chain Logistics

Graduate · Required course

SCLT 6320

Procurement Strategies

Graduate · Required course

SCLT 6397

Urban Informatics for Logistics Management

Graduate · Newly developed course integrating spatial data processing, network analysis, machine learning, and applied urban logistics.

TEACHING APPROACH

From Data and Models to Informed Decisions

Students learn to check data quality, explain model assumptions, and judge whether a method fits the problem. I emphasize interpreting results and understanding their limits before using them to inform a decision.

MENTORSHIP & RESEARCH TRAINING

Developing Independent Researchers

I work with students to develop research questions, choose methods, and interpret their findings. As their projects develop, students take greater responsibility for the analysis, writing, and presentation of their work.
