About Us
Led by Dr. Kailai Wang, the ITS Lab studies how people use transportation and infrastructure, how their behavior changes with new technologies, and what these changes mean for infrastructure design and management. We use behavioral modeling, artificial intelligence, spatial analytics, network science, and optimization to address these questions. Our research spans sustainable freight and energy systems, cyber-physical infrastructure resilience, emerging mobility and travel behavior, and accessible and livable cities. Through research and teaching, we train students to work with data, question model assumptions, and apply their findings to practical infrastructure problems.
